Halloween

good omens

I did the Reno Zombie crawl last night.  It was fun.  Lots and lots of people, all zombified, which basically means they had fake blood splattered on their face and/or clothes and bit of black makeup under the eyes.

I went with a couple of the derby girls and their guys.  I borrowed a Dorothy costume from a friend of mine.  I have a few pics, so I'll post them below and give a bit of a description for each.
This was the first photo of the night.  It was taken next to Strega, if I remember correctly.  We're missing Nybe's hubby, because he was driving the car around to drive us to the next spot.

After the fifth or so stop of the crawl, there was a planned Thriller dance.  Everyone gathered in the outside plaza and reenacted what is perhaps Michael Jackson's most well-known video.  My friends and I just watched.  Apparently, the night before there was a practice session where all the steps were taught.

This was a bit later.  We ran into Ammo off and on throughout the night.  She had all of the Wizard of Oz folks with her, so there were a few Dorothys out and about that night.  You'll see evidence of that a bit later.

I like pictures that show my friends having fun.  :)

This girl latched onto me at Waterfall.  We had fun chatting, but her friend who was sitting on the other side of her looked uber bored because little nurse here seemed to forget about her.  Ah, well, I just had to share this photo, because the girl looks super cute.  She was disappointed, she said, because she'd been in a costume contest at work and only got third prize.  She was going to be in another costume contest, but her friend had forgotten her ID, so they couldn't get in that bar.  Her boyfriend was the bouncer at Waterfall, so that's where they ended up.  Maybe that's why she talked to me and not her friend.  Anyway, she told me that her plan had been to insure first prize by opening up her already very revealing nurse dress and show the lingerie underneath.  It was hot.  Because, yes, she showed me.  Oh, Halloween, when did you become a day not of spirits and ghouls, but sluttiness and girls? (Really, I can't judge, though.  My dress was disgustingly short.)

Met these two girls at Waterfall.  They ended up joining us for the rest of the crawl.  They're sisters.  They might join my friends and me at the next wine walk.

These guys wanted me to take their pic.  I love gay bars.  'Nuff said.

One of the other Dorothys I mentioned earlier.  And no, I was not sober at this point.  Taken at 5 Star Saloon.

End of the night.  Some of us obviously having more fun than others.  :)  The guy in the pimp hat joined our group early on, bought almost all of our drinks, asked for my number right after this pic, even though he'd been told very early in the night by Bri that I have a boyfriend.  I felt kinda bad for him.  He dropped an easy hundred.  Ah, well, his fault.

All in all, not too shabby of a Halloween.  Last year's was definitely better, but that was in Vegas, so what can you do?  :)
