I have a friend here in town who is nearly impossible to plan things with. She never answers her phone and rarely checks her messages. We've been planning to go rafting everyday since Monday, and today it finally happened.

It has been a gorgeous day. The weather couldn't be more perfect for spending the day on the river. We parked at Idlewild Park and then floated on down through the downtown area. It was fun. She didn't want to go on the main section downtown, so we detoured through the kiddie area. :) It was much more fun than tubing down the river, because each time I've done that, I left the river thinking I nearly escaped death. We started early enough so that I could make it to practice today at six, but I think I might skip it anyway. The sun always wears me out.


The Truckee River
