So today Coach Kraven told me that he hadn't known that Saturday's bout was my first. He said that when he found that out, he was pretty impressed. For my first time, he said I did really well and that although I'm not there yet, I'm going to be a good jammer. He said that I have the speed, but I just need some of the other skills now. I disagreed and said I don't think I'm fast enough at all, but he insisted. He no way implied that I was actually good on Saturday, but he made me feel really good in that for my first time, I should have been much worse. Hooray for small accomplishments. :)
In other news, I saw Angels and Demons after practice today. My friend Curvy wanted to see it. It was a fun movie. Not anything serious or deep by any means, but it was a fun summer watch. I didn't like the book, so I definitely thought the movie was better. Since I hadn't read the book for about five years, I'd forgotten how it ended, so the suspense in the movie actually worked for me.
